In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 travel and local apps in Central America exhibited diverse performance trends. According to Sensor Tower data, here's how each app fared in terms of weekly downloads and active users.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, peaking at around 110K in the first week of January and hitting a low of approximately 68K in late February. Weekly active users also saw a gradual decline, starting from around 736K in early January and dropping to about 561K by the end of March.

Airbnb showed a steady performance in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with around 107K in the first week of January and stabilizing to approximately 75K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at about 773K in early January and ending the quarter at around 608K.

Volaris saw a notable increase in weekly downloads mid-quarter, reaching a peak of approximately 85K in mid-March. The app's active users also surged, peaking at around 165K in the same period before stabilizing to about 105K by the end of March.

Google Earth maintained relatively stable weekly download numbers throughout the quarter, with a slight peak of around 47K in late January. Active users remained consistent, averaging around 320K to 330K across the quarter.

Viva Aerobus experienced steady weekly downloads, starting at about 42K in the first week of January and ending the quarter at approximately 44K. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting at around 129K in early January and reaching about 131K by the end of March.
